Between the river and the break

The villa stands on Balapitiya's golden stretch with the Indian Ocean at its feet — the Madu River's mangrove islands minutes one way, Galle Fort an easy run the other.

The Southern Expressway exit at Welipenna puts Colombo and the airport within easy reach — we arrange transfers both ways.

The rock pool in front of the villa is swimmable most of the year; the house keeps a surf report for the beach break.

December to March is the dry glassy season; the southwest monsoon brings dramatic skies from May.
