N.01Only a 30-minute drive from Kandy, one of the oldest and largest cities in the country — full of history, shopping and restaurants, and host of the great Esala Perahera festival.

N.02Gardens of native flora attract numerous native species of birds and butterflies — and the Hanthana hills are known for leopard sightings, if you are lucky enough.

N.03The Pekoe Trail passes close by — Stage 01 trails the historic Hanthana Tea Estate, and Stage 02 reaches Loolecondera, the birthplace of Ceylon Tea.
